Swim Suit Season

It approaches.

The greatest looming deadline for women. Well, besides your biological clock.

I worked backwards this year. I already bought a bikini. So now I can try it on and see results as I go.

I’m working on my body this year. I’m about to start running again, and I’m doing the Jillian Michaels DVD thing I have…which I hate, and feel like a total idiot doing, but whatever, she kicks my butt.

So ladies, what’s in this year? What are you doing to get your swimsuit body? What bathing suits are looking good to you? Do you even care?

Also, for my guy readers, Valentine’s Day is in 9 days. Just a friendly reminder. Don’t forget to treat your ladies!

THAT. JUST. HAPPENED.

That’s what I yelled after I ran 3.1 miles last night.

THAT. JUST. HAPPENED.

This is so not me. I don’t run, I don’t take care of myself, I’m not healthy, and 2 months ago I was excited that I ran half a mile.

And last night I did it. A big, hairy, audacious, goal accomplished. Done.

So yeah. Good day. :)

Fat Camp Update

Hey guys I know I haven’t updated this in a while, mostly because I wasn’t doing anything.

HAHAHAAA. [Belly jiggles with laughter]

But that all changed this week. Saturday morning I walked 2 miles. Monday morning I got up and did the same. Tuesday morning I got up and did 30 minutes of yoga. Not too shabby.

The coolest part though is that I feel so much better. Alive.

My motivation? Well, now that we are moving to Winter Haven I am really scared that KFJ is going to kick my butt hard core and I don’t wanna look like a puss. I mean, this woman has children (3 if you count Travis), a job, a lot to manage, and she still manages to run and workout consistently. And she looks AWESOME. She runs marathons. I can’t run to the stop sign and back.

Nothin’ like pride to push you to work out :)

Hey as an added bonus, I am learning about shin splints. Awesome.

Fat Camp

My husband has instituted a weekly fat camp video update over at campfireanthems, and I’ve been watching (you should be too!) with glee. He is funny. And sometimes I make cameos and that makes it even better.

However.

Yesterday I came to the shocking realization that I too, need to join the fat camp movement. I am fast approaching weighing the most I ever have.  Now, ladies, you might hate me when I tell you what I weigh because it is a low number in the grand scheme of numbers. I realize this.  However, for my frame it is a lot, and my body feels maxed out right now. I just want to be comfortable in my own skin again.

So here we go. Fat camp update #1. I weigh (according to Publix) 127.5.  Goal weight: 120. Plan of attack: cutting portion sizes, drinking more water, walking a few times a week (probably with Mike or Puma), and maybe, just maybe, I will use the bowflex. I refuse to commit to any of it. There’s a good possibility I will get frustrated and cuss during this time. Bear with me.

Oh yeah,

There will be no jiggle tests here.
