Today is June 30th, and it marks day 182 of 2008, the exact half way point to the year.
That makes my head spin. So far, I have:
- tried to read 1 book a week, and failed
- tried to do my quiet time every day. i failed at that too, but i’ve read more than i ever have, so that’s something.
- joined a new family group
- made some really great new friends
- bought a house
- contemplated foreign adoption
- gone through a depression and come out of it
- watched my husband become a better person
- lost some really great friends
- gotten closer to my family
- potty trained my dog
- cried tears of joy over doing laundry in my house
- fixed a toilet, all by myself
That’s just some of the fun stuff that I can remember. What about you? It’s half way through 2008, what’s your list?
I have not read any books…..hope to change that soon…
Have struggled with quiet time as well
met some very cool friends….hmmmmmmm…….
ate shrimp for the first time in my life!!!!
started seeing a therapist
became actively involved at RPC
ran a 10k and a 15k!!!!!!
adopted a healthy lifestyle
had the best setting hand in the history of ROOK!!!!!!!
And, you got locked in a bathroom! Busy year for you!
As for me…
Began training for a half-marathon
Watched my baby grow into a little boy
Finally, talked to my neighbor and became good friends
Began to understand how God loves us (because of becoming a parent)
Watched 3 beautiful babies enter the world
Realized that God is good, depsite us
Decided to work full-time
Started reading again
Can’t wait to see what the second half of 2008 holds!
well…
Experienced my first New Years on a plane… at 30,000 ft.
I celebrated my one year anniversary
Watched my husband graduate with his Masters Degree
I moved to Brandon
Attended the annual Stowell reunion
I experienced great loss
Celebrated my sister having a second daughter (due in October)
Watched God provide in miracle-like ways
Traveled out of the country without Tim, testing the limits of my anxiety
Watched my Aunt fight and hopefully beat breast cancer
Seen my husband become a more amazing and more spiritual man with every passing day
I’m sure there is a lot more, but these are the things I thought of just now… can’t believe we’re halfway through the year!
Halfway through . . .
I’m actually on book number 29. I’m ahead of the game.
Paid off some debt (YAY!!!)
Went to Washington DC, Eastmann, GA, and Little Gasparilla Island
Ate whatever I wanted whenever I wanted (those days are over)
Met some really really cool people
My wife got a tatoo
That’s all. But the second half is already getting a little crazy!
