So in an earlier post I told you that my goal in 2008 was to read 1 book a week. Well, so far I am failing, BUT I have ready way more books than I usually would have. Have I met my goal so far? No. Have I pushed myself a lot? Yes.
So here’s what I’ve read so far in 2008:
The Starbucks Experience
In a Pit with a Lion on a Snowy Day
Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows
Currently working on:
I Became a Christian and all I got was this lousy T-shirt
From Good to Great
In the Line Up:
Simple Church
8 weeks into the year and almost 6 books down. I’m not that far behind. I’ll play catch up when we take a vacation. Someday. (PS I kinda copied Travis with this post, but his reminded me that I should probably update you guys)
well, i’m proud of you. I’ve read one book… since college. I’m not a recreational reader
POST COPIER! POST COPIER!
You’re not in bad shape at all. I couldn’t decide if we were at 8 weeks or 9 weeks.
C’mon Tabitha . . . pick up a book
I think you should count the Harry Potter books as two books each – due to length and intense subject matter
Betsy – I totally agree! I almost said that, but I figured I’d already get enough crap for reading Harry Potter in the first place.
Tabitha – Hey maybe it will turn into a new hobby! Next book you need to read is called “House”, frank peretti co-authored it.
Travis – hey at least I gave you some link love.
I didn’t know you could cut and paste from one blog to another.
At least Travis’ stats went up.
I copied Travis, too, but only in idea.
I’m only shooting for 12 books a year, not 52.
If kids books counted, my numbers would be about 300.
*feeling hurt, offended, and needing to defend herself*
not everyone has the desire to sit still and read a story printed in neatly bound hardback or paperback covers. So… touche Travis and a mad shout out to all the other non-readers out there
*end soap box rant*
I am almost done with the Lousy T-shirt one…good stuff!
