Another Sunday has come and gone for RPC, so here’s a look back at what the day held:
- Our services are starting to even out. The first two are anyway. They were split pretty evenly…we just need to fill up that third service! (I lovingly refer to it as the “hangover” service–we won’t judge you though). College kids: invite your friends to that late service. They won’t mind coming as much if they get to sleep
it off firstmore. - We got to sleep in! At least that’s how I think of it. The clocks fell back yesterday, so we all got an extra hour. That’s a big deal when you’re in the band and you have to be here at 7:30 every week.
- Speaking of the band… Aaron rocked it out yesterday! Justin was gone for his anniversary, so Aaron stepped up and no one missed a beat (haha). Seriously he told us he was honored to play with us and he was so humble about it, yet he’s so talented. It’s really refreshing to see a musician with that kind of attitude.
- Speaking of attitude…Timm spoke about Biblical Authority yesterday. He did such a good job reminding us that there is a different between believing in and submitting to. If you’re a Christian, stop and take 10 seconds and think about that. It will really make you reevaluate what you’re doing with yourself. It’s hard for all of us to submit to someone else: husbands, wives, the law, your boss, and God. But, it’s always worth it. (P.S.– if you missed a sermon you can download our free podcast on iTunes or check out our media section of www.jeanswelcome.com)
- Christmas Banquet tickets are on sale and we can’t believe how fast the year has gone. If you want to purchase tickets, check out our “Give Online” page at www.jeanswelcome.com. You can enter your info, then select the “Event” option. Next on the drop down menu click “Christmas Banquet” and it will guide you through the rest.
- New Series next week. “Comfortable” begins next Sunday and I am SUPER EXCITED about it. Timm’s excited too. Don’t miss it. It’s a little tiny short totally easy to swallow (yeah right) 3 week series that you’ll be so glad you came for.
Don’t forget to pray for your pastor, RPC, and all the leadership, as we face some tough decisions. We’re all praying for you, so return the favor!
-Em
